While it is true that there are certain nuts that should NEVER be given to dogs (walnuts, pecans, almonds, pistachios and macadamia nuts) peanuts are not toxic to animals. However, they are much better enjoyed in butter form. Peanut butter is a fun treat when given in small amounts and is used to hide pills when administering medication. Natural peanut butter is best; avoid the sugar-free versions which contain xylitol - a very toxic ingredient for dogs! Sashi’s Treats Peanut Butter Pumpkin treats contain no xylitol and are a healthy, safe and yummy snack for your pup!

No. Treats should make up only 10 percent of a dog’s daily diet. Sashi’s Treats does not provide all the essential nutrients required in your dog’s diet and is not meant to be a meal substitute. They are to be given to your pet as an occasional treat. The recommended daily amount is approximately 1-2 treats per 10 pounds of animal. (For our training treats the recommended daily amount would be 4-8 treats per 10 pounds of animal)

Great question! Our recipe contains a limited number of ingredients, contains no artificial preservatives (eg BHT and BPA), food dyes (eg. FD & C yellow, red lake) or artificial flavours (eg. bacon flavour, pumpkin essence). Sashi’s Treats pet treats are produced in small batches and contain high quality ingredients that we all know and love. We aim to provide a healthy treat alternative without any fillers to our pet population!
